    Alexander specialises in aspects of Children Law matters involving the Local Authority as well as handling disputes between parents as to who a child should live with and who they spend time with.

     

    Alexander has experience in handling cases of non-accidental injuries, jurisdictional issues, sexual abuse, substance abuse, domestic abuse, neglect, and child protection cases concerning concurrent criminal prosecution or enquiry.

    Alexander deals with all cases in a non-judgemental, direct, and empathetic manner.

    Alexander is recognised for his expertise by being accredited by the Law Society as a member of the Children Panel.

    Cases:

    – Re M (Fact Finding, False Allegations, Section 91(14)) [2021 EWHC 3077 (Fam) – Alexander represented the father in a case where Williams J imposed a s.91(14) CA 1989 restriction (which requires the other parent to obtain the court’s permission before making further applications) despite there being no history of repeated court applications, following his finding that serious allegations of sexual and other abuse made against father were false.

    – Alexander represented a father in Care Proceedings where a baby had an unexplained bruise. It was subsequently confirmed that the baby had a blood condition which explained the bruising and the baby was returned to parents’ care.

    – Alexander represented a father who made an application to spend time with his children. Significant sexual allegations were made against him which were not proved, and he was granted an order which allowed him to spend time with his children.

    Interests

    Alexander enjoys being outdoors and active. He is a qualified running coach, and enjoys football, and tennis.
